Another brilliant piece of music (imo) and I would love to know who is responsible for it, comes from the score in Gladiator, but has also been in other movies. It kicks in 2 or 3 times from memory, but the scene I most recall is when Maximus is dying, moving in to Elysium, and the scene is changing from him lying in the Colosseum to walking through the grain field near his home, seeing his wife and child, ... it is a hauntingly beautiful piece of audio art, sends chills right through you, ... awesome! Love it, Love it, Love it! If anyone knows who this is, or if you can get it as an audio track, please spill. Sounds like something Enya would be responsible for - but I don't think that is right.

Couldnt agree more. Love Gladiator. Lisa Gerrard is the artist and I think the track is either The Wheat or Elysium or Now we are Free.

I was just watching '300' (the movie about the 300 Greek Spartans taking on the army of thousands from Pesia) and having so many poignant moments, I was just waiting for this soundtrack to kick in - which it did as the final peice of music. Anyway it prompted me to finally hunt it down, ...it is "Now We are Free", ...and whaddya know, it was originally by Enya after all. Lisa Gerrard just put the music together for Gladiator.

Maybe "Now We are Free" by Lisa Gerrard and Hans Zimmer, and I think there is also a version by Enya

She is just amazing! i love to listen to her she takes on a spiritual trip every time!

My favorite one is the ghost of seraphim... witch you can hear in the movie " The mist " when they leave the store and are driving in hope to get help or somewhere else!! :roll:

Yes, Gladiator has an excellent soundtrack, but i always regretted that the best variation of the main theme is relatively short, it appears only during the beginning of the first battle, and in the soundtrack CD it is only a part of the song. Main theme as such is slower and not as good.

Overall it reminds me a bit of Braveheart and Last Mohican soundtracks. Maybe The Island, as well?

Love all those movies, ... i think tho that 'The Island' is one of those under rated, under appreciated one's.

If U have not seen it, seriously check it out. Stars Ewan Mc Gregor and umm, wotshername, ... umm, umm, still thinking, ..it's on the tip of my tongue, ... ahhh, Scarlet Johannson.

Good original story line, action packed, lot's of special effects, ... great for an entertaining no brainer (like you don;t have to follow/pay attention too hard for a good ride) one of my personal fav's - even with repeated viewing.
